Overview
Following several high-profile public realm installations, Landscape was appointed by eminent Scottish artist Malcolm Robertson to install two of his large-scale sculptures in the coastal town of Ballycastle.
What We Did
Foundations were carefully constructed using templates provided by the foundry. On arrival, the sculptures – one featuring three swans taking flight and another of fish leaping from the harbour – were handled with extreme care and placed into position before finishing touches were applied by the artist.
Key Detail
To complete this project, we were asked to create a bespoke mosaic at the base of the sculptures. This featured cobbles collected from the adjacent beach and placed into the mortar by local schoolchildren.
