Overview
This highly imaginative project involved the creation of a biodiverse area within the historic natural environment of Crawfordsburn Country Park. The project had a double aim: to add educational content and enhance traditional visitor appeal in a one-park experience.
What We Did
Works included regrading pathways, with soft and hard landscaping to improve wheel chair accessibility. We also adding a new woodland play area, installed street furniture, timber signage and seating, and extended the existing car park.
Key Detail
This environmental enhancement project was carried out in particularly difficult circumstances during an extremely wet winter. However, the result was very successful and has greatly enhanced visitor numbers to the park.
